Plantar warts (Verruca plantaris) are caused by the human papillomavirus occurring on the sole or toes of the foot. Plantar warts are usually flat and hard whereas warts that appear on the top of your foot are fleshier. Since warts can easily spread it is important to take proper care to clear them up. Some great herbal treatments are: soaking a cotton ball in pineapple juice in which the enzymes help dissolve the wart and oils such as garlic, onion, and tea tree which all have antiviral properties.
