When I injured my back three and a half years ago, my left leg was paralyzed for days. I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t drive, and I came to work limping for the next six months.
Because I was in so much pain, I didn’t get a good night’s sleep for six months. Then, I became diabetic, hypertensive, and depressed—not to mention, an insomniac. I couldn’t believe how much my health had deteriorated in such a short amount of time. That’s when I started walking 5 miles a day, and in about two weeks my back pain improved by 50%. Once again, I was shocked.
I kept walking, and in about three months the rest of my problems went away without medication. I wanted to spread the word of my walking regimen, so I wrote my book, Walking Cure, and shared with patients how walking could help them.
I started doing my walking program with my patients. But, about eighty percent of them couldn’t do the walking. They were too weak; they didn’t have enough energy to get moving. With a desire to get these patients healthy, I opened the K Wellness Center to get them in the proper shape to walk.
I organized the center so that my patients could visit, heal themselves, and become strong—no matter their current energy level. At our K Wellness Center, we use oxygen therapy.
